Accounting & Operations Executive
Dubai, UAE | Full time, hybrid

An ecommerce and wellness platform operating across the GCC is bringing its accounting and B2B operations support in house. This is a split role with half the role spent running our wholesale accounts day to day, processing orders, invoicing, reconciling consignment and coordinating with operations and external clients. The rest is bookkeeping, inventory reconciliation and monthly reporting. It suits someone with an accounting background who is happy working across finance and operations.

B2B orders and account support

-Process customer orders end to end, from purchase order through invoicing to delivery confirmation
-Day-to-day point of contact for retail and distribution accounts on orders, deliveries, invoices and payments
-Maintain account records, pricing sheets, trading terms and customer data
-Run consignment reconciliations with partner accounts and resolve differences
-Organise samples, testers and POS and marketing materials going out to partners, and keep them accounted for

Inventory and stock

-Reconcile system stock to physical stock, including goods in transit, and investigate variances
-Monitor stock levels held by partners and flag slow-moving, short-dated and out-of-stock lines
-Maintain the master inventory file, and allocate freight, customs and duty to the correct shipments

Accounting and reporting

-Maintain the books in QuickBooks day to day: sales, purchases, payments and bank reconciliations
-Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including chasing overdue balances
-Prepare inventory costing: landed cost, cost of goods sold and margin at SKU level
-Prepare monthly management accounts and VAT workings, and support the year-end audit

Qualifications and experience

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA, ACCA or CMA, qualified or part-qualified, is an advantage
-Two or more years combining accounting with order processing or account administration, ideally in ecommerce, retail, FMCG or distribution
-Solid bookkeeping to trial balance, with hands-on experience of inventory and cost of goods sold
-Working knowledge of UAE VAT
-Advanced QuickBooks or Zoho and Excel. Shopify or a comparable ecommerce platform is an advantage
-Organised, and comfortable chasing people, both internally and with customers
-Based in Dubai with a valid UAE residence visa or transferable status. Fluent English
