General Questions:
Do you have service history?
Car maintained regularly at Zeus Offroad and other independent garages in Al Qouz. It has been my daily and well maintained.
How much are the maintenance costs?
They run problem free if you take care of the flaws. Oil change is 600-800+ depending on where you get them done. All other miniatous you have various garages doing it for cheap these days. Contacts can be provided.
What are the possible things that can go wrong when getting a Cayenne?
The main week points are the Air suspension, Transmission/Gear Box. I went through 2 sets of 4 air suspension ( 20-30K+ ) and finally got tired of all the leak-troubleshooting and decided to upgrade to Coil overs. The rest was history. This was the first 958 in the region to run on Coil overs and paved way to many offroad solutions.
The transmission has been repaired and serviced. So it should be good for another 100-200k kms.
How does it handle offroad?
Pretty great to be honest. V8 with low center of gravity, less (almost 0) body roll and lots of power! If you have driven Wranglers and FJ Cruisers, you can definitely feel the difference.
Does it overheat?
Not really. You may get some false negatives if you have air in your system or if your coolant level is low. Other than that all cooling and plumbing system has been serviced so the needle always sits in the middle, even with the over sized tires.
What's the gas consumption like?
I get 12-14 l/100km reading when I do city rides of 30-60km stretch. Which is quite good even after all the heavy mods and big tires. Also depends on how heavy footed you are.
Do you have any errors on the dash after deleting the air-suspension?
The dash is error free! I had a secret upgrade that compensated for it :) Don't worry, no sloppy work here.
Are Cayenne's reliable?
They are bullet proof cars if you take away the week points. The ones mentioned above are most of them ( transmission, suspension ). If you take care with regular service these can easily go up to 500K+ Kms.
How much did your overall build cost?
I spent close to 120-130K+ on just the mods, around AED60-70k+ on maintenance over the years and a lot more on the research and design process.
No silly Offers Please.
