Credit card: The mandatory security amount is blocked or pre-authorised on the credit card and refunded within 14 days.

The following documents are mandatory to rent a vehicle from Thrifty Car Rental and must be produced at the counter:
If you are a visitor/non-resident in the UAE:
• Driving License (driving license information and eligibility provided below)
• Passport front and information page, and a copy of the latest UAE entry stamp, where applicable.

If you are a resident of the UAE:
• UAE driving license – a front and back copy will be required.
• Passport front and information page, and a copy of the UAE residency visa page OR
Emirates ID – front and back copies will be required.
