Advise clients on travel options and plan, book, and manage trips — flights, hotels, transfers, and packages — to deliver a smooth travel experience while meeting sales targets.
Key responsibilities
• Understand client needs (destination, dates, budget, preferences) and recommend suitable options
• Research and quote flights, hotels, tours, transfers, cruises, and holiday packages
• Issue and reissue tickets, process bookings, and handle cancellations, refunds, and date changes
• Advise on visa requirements, travel insurance, passport validity, and destination information
• Use GDS systems (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre) and supplier portals to make reservations
• Handle payments, prepare invoices, and maintain accurate booking records
• Resolve issues before and during travel (schedule changes, delays, itinerary problems)
• Build client relationships to generate repeat business and referrals; upsell add-ons
• Meet monthly sales and revenue targets
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; IATA/travel & tourism certification an advantage
• 1–3 years' experience in a travel agency, airline, or tour operator
• Working knowledge of a GDS system (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre)
• Strong sales, communication, and negotiation skills
• Good geographical and destination knowledge; awareness of visa and fare rules
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight timelines
• Proficiency in MS Office
