Role Overview
Royal Garden Centre is looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Showroom Sales Associate to join our team. The role is mainly focused on sales and customer service, but it also includes general showroom operations, product maintenance, merchandising, loading and unloading products, preparing reports, and supporting social media content.
This is an all-round role in an outdoor showroom environment, so the ideal candidate should be active, practical, well-presented, and willing to handle both sales and hands-on operational work.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Service
Attend to customers visiting the showroom in a professional and friendly manner.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable garden décor, outdoor furniture, fountains, planters, and related products.
Explain product features, prices, materials, sizes, and basic installation requirements.
Follow up with customers by phone, WhatsApp, or email when required.
Prepare quotations and support the sales process from inquiry to closing.
Assist customers with product selection and upselling where appropriate.
Showroom Maintenance & Merchandising
Keep the showroom clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Maintain product displays and ensure items are arranged attractively.
Clean and maintain products, especially outdoor display items exposed to dust and weather.
Check products regularly for damage, missing parts, or maintenance needs.
Ensure pricing, labels, and product information are clear and updated.
Product Handling & Installation Support
Help load and unload products for customers and deliveries.
Assist with moving, arranging, and displaying heavy or large items when required.
Understand the basic installation process for products such as fountains, planters, garden décor, and outdoor items.
Coordinate with the team for delivery, installation, and customer requirements.
Reporting & Administration
Prepare daily or weekly sales reports as required.
Record customer inquiries, follow-ups, and sales updates.
Support with emails, quotations, invoices, and basic showroom communication.
Coordinate with management regarding stock, customer requests, and showroom requirements.
Social Media Support
Take photos and videos of products for social media posting.
Help create simple product videos, showroom walkthroughs, and promotional content.
Share product updates, new arrivals, and showroom displays when required.
Ensure products are presented neatly before taking photos or videos.
Requirements
Previous experience in retail sales, showroom sales, outdoor products, furniture, garden décor, or building materials is preferred.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Basic computer skills, including email, WhatsApp, and simple sales reporting.
Ability to take clear photos and videos for social media.
Physically fit and willing to load, unload, move, and arrange products.
Willing to work in an outdoor showroom environment.
Practical mindset and willingness to learn product installation and maintenance.
Honest, reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
Ability to work as part of a team and handle all-round showroom duties.
Preferred Skills
Experience with outdoor furniture, garden décor, fountains, landscaping products, or home improvement products.
Basic knowledge of social media posting.
Ability to speak English clearly; additional languages are an advantage.
UAE experience is preferred.
Working Environment
This role is based in an outdoor showroom, where products are displayed in an open-air environment. The candidate must be comfortable working outdoors, assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and handling physical showroom duties when required.
