We are seeking a skilled and hygiene-conscious Hypermarket Bakery Assistant to help produce, display, and sell fresh bread, pastries, cakes, and baked goods so that the bakery counter is full, fresh, and appealing from opening to close. Reporting to the Bakery Supervisor or Bakery Manager, the successful candidate will support baking and finishing tasks behind the scenes and serve customers at the counter, in a department where freshness and smell often decide whether a shopper buys.
The core of the role is baking and production support. The Bakery Assistant weighs and prepares ingredients according to recipes, helps mix, scale, shape, proof, and bake bread, rolls, croissants, Arabic breads, cakes, and pastries, and operates ovens, mixers, dough sheeters, and proofers as trained. Baking times and temperatures are followed precisely, products are checked for colour, texture, and weight, and anything below standard is set aside rather than sold. Production is scheduled through the day in line with the plan, so that popular lines are freshly baked during morning and evening peaks.
