We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Hypermarket Sales Assistant to assist shoppers, drive sales, and keep an assigned department well presented within a large-format store. Reporting to the Department Supervisor or Department Manager, the successful candidate will help customers find, compare, and choose products across a wide floor, turning heavy footfall into sales and repeat visits.
The core of the role is customer assistance and selling. The Sales Assistant approaches shoppers in the department, asks about their needs, and recommends suitable products, explaining features, sizes, brands, and price differences clearly and honestly. Customers are guided to promotions, bundle offers, and loyalty benefits where they genuinely help, and complementary items are suggested naturally rather than pushed. Questions on availability, location, and pricing are answered promptly, and anything unresolved is passed to the supervisor rather than guessed at.
