Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Retail Purchaser who can source quality products, negotiate competitive prices, maintain strong supplier relationships, and support profitable retail operations.
#Key Responsibilities
* Source products from reliable UAE suppliers and distributors.
* Negotiate prices, payment terms, discounts, and delivery schedules.
* Prepare and manage purchase orders.
* Compare supplier quotations, product quality, and market prices.
* Maintain sufficient stock levels for fast-moving products.
* Monitor slow-moving, overstocked, and near-expiry items.
* Coordinate with store, warehouse, accounts, and department teams.
* Review product sales, stock movement, and purchasing requirements.
* Support promotional campaigns by securing competitive supplier prices.
* Ensure purchased products meet company quality and pricing standards.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
* Control purchasing costs and support healthy profit margins.
# Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of UAE retail purchasing experience.
* Previous experience in a hypermarket, supermarket, FMCG, or general retail company is required.
* Strong knowledge of UAE suppliers, distributors, and wholesale markets.
* Established supplier network and strong product knowledge.
* Excellent price negotiation and cost-control skills.
* Good understanding of retail margins, stock planning, and inventory movement.
* Experience with purchase orders, supplier quotations, and inventory systems.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple product categories.
* Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
