Job Details

We are looking for a technically confident Sales Engineer to join our industrial equipment team. You will be responsible for selling, demonstrating, and supporting a range of pipe cold cutting and beveling machines — including GBC and equivalent pneumatic and mechanical systems — to clients in the oil & gas, petrochemical, shipbuilding, and heavy fabrication sectors across the UAE and wider Middle East.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct live product demonstrations of pipe cold cutting and beveling machines at client sites, workshops, and trade events
• Identify and develop new business with EPC contractors, fabrication shops, shipyards, and refineries
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to client requirements
• Advise clients on machine selection, tooling, and consumables based on pipe material, wall thickness, and project specs
• Provide post-sale technical support and troubleshooting assistance
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics for timely order fulfilment
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and report on activities and forecasts

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
What You Must Know
• Pipe Fundamentals — Pipe schedules, wall thicknesses, OD/ID standards (ASME B36.10 / B36.19), materials including carbon steel, stainless, and duplex
• Machine Operation — Mounting, clamping, setting feed rates, cutting depth, bevel angles, and insert/tool bit selection for different materials
• Bevel Profiles — Single bevel, J-prep, compound bevel per WPS requirements; surface finish standards post-cut
• Pneumatic Systems — Air pressure and CFM requirements, supply connections, regulators, and basic fault diagnosis for pneumatic drive models
• Cold Cutting Context — When cold cutting is mandatory vs flame cutting — hot work restrictions, confined spaces, live plant environments
• Weld Prep Basics — Familiarity with AWS/ASME joint preparation standards relevant to field piping work
• Industry Application — Piping spool fabrication workflows, site execution environments, and EPC project structures

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience

Education Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Experience 2–4 years in technical / industrial equipment sales, pipe fabrication, or mechanical maintenance
Machine Knowledge Hands-on familiarity with GBC, Wachs, ESCO, Protem, DWT, or equivalent pipe cold cutting / beveling equipment
Industry Exposure Oil & gas, petrochemical, power, shipbuilding, or heavy fabrication environments preferred
Languages English required; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu an advantage
Driving Licence Valid UAE driving licence required — regular client and site visits expected
Location Based in Dubai; travel across UAE and occasional GCC travel required
