Job Details
The F&B Assistant supports the day-to-day running of the outlet — restaurant, café, bar, banqueting, or in-room dining — by serving guests, maintaining service areas, and ensuring every guest interaction meets the property's standards.
Key Responsibilities
Guest service
• Greet, seat, and serve guests warmly and efficiently
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar
• Deliver orders promptly, checking back on satisfaction during the meal
• Answer questions on the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and daily specials
• Handle guest requests and complaints calmly, escalating to a supervisor when needed
Service operations
• Set up and break down tables, buffets, and function spaces per event sheets
• Polish glassware and cutlery, fold linen, and prepare service stations
• Clear tables promptly and reset for the next cover
• Process payments accurately via POS, handling cash and card
Hygiene & compliance
• Follow food safety and HACCP procedures in all handling and storage
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas, back-of-house stations, and equipment
• Comply with allergen disclosure requirements and responsible alcohol service laws
• Adhere to grooming, uniform, and hygiene standards at all times
Stock & support
• Replenish condiments, beverages, linen, and service supplies
• Assist with deliveries, stock rotation, and end-of-shift counts
• Support other outlets or banqueting when business demands
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality qualification an advantage
• 0–2 years' F&B experience; entry-level candidates considered with the right attitude
• Food safety certification (HACCP Level 2 or local equivalent)
• Conversational English; additional languages a strong advantage
