Job Description

Cluster Marketing & Communication Manager manages of all Marketing activities and events. They are professional who knows how to develop marketing strategies that will attract customers. The role is to ensure all tasks directed for the hotel are implemented at the highest standard and within allocated timelines. These include and are not limited to: PR, marketing, advertising, collateral development, e-Commerce and promotion. They should take ownership of business intelligence and take it to the next level to develop and enhance a brand and promote the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team and Service of the Ramada.

Creating and implementing plans to increase market share

Commissioning or conducting market research

Overseeing market data analysis and evaluation

Developing pricing and budgeting strategies

Collaborating with cross-functional teams - from creative, IT and production to product marketing and legal - to produce effective promotional materials

Coordinating with and managing agency partners

Creating marketing presentations for stakeholders

Obtaining necessary consent and providing final approval on all marketing collateral, products and promotions

Developing schedules and maintaining deadlines

Need to be heavily involved with projects relating to search engine optimization, website updates, and social media and email automation.

Maintains complete knowledge of the hotel features and hours of operation.

Maintains high level of knowledge in reference to the company’s products and services.

Maintains high level of knowledge of the competitors’ products and services.

Communicates Marketing and PR activities to all departments concerned to ensure the smooth flow of operations and its flawless execution.

Drive the tactical marketing initiatives for the hotel as directed.

Ensure the hotel’s website is up to date and advice on keeping site dynamic.

Ensure the correct policy and brand standards are followed by the hotel in all marketing

collateral, advertising and e-Commerce.

Responsible to review/edit all written material prepared by on-property managers

Track and measure PR and Marketing campaigns for evaluation.

Oversee writing and creative of collateral for F&B, in-room collateral, brochures, newsletters, promotions and all in house communication channels.

Contribute to advertising plan, media buying, copy, photography, layout and creative to ensure a consistent message.

Coordinate all photo shoots.

Generate awareness and write ups of the hotel according to the marketing objectives.

Establish/continue to build image and reputation of the hotel in the local and national markets.

Create and revamp property press kits, press releases and creative communication of news worthy items

Create and support promotional opportunities and pitched target media, create press releases and media alerts accordingly.

Develop proactive media relations to ensure direct strong relationships with key media.

Ensure monthly clippings are received for the hotel.

Maintain and enhance the photographic library and press kits of the hotel.

Provide ideas and solutions to generate more PR for the hotel.

Co-ordinate and represent the hotel during major social functions.

Lead internal communication for the hotel to ensure all associates are aware of developments.

Manage, plan and execution of activities to support communications and public relations, Executes PR initiatives, marketing plans, and strategies within budgets collaborating with the team.

Knowledge of the local media with strong media contacts and relationships (consumer and trade, travel and lifestyle).Well connected to the social and business community Preferably has a degree in journalism, public relations, marketing or business studies.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospitality industry. Need to have excellent communication skills with good knowledge of written and spoken English.
