Role
Keep the kitchen running clean and organised. Responsible for washing all dishes, pots, pans and utensils, maintaining cleanliness across the kitchen, and supporting the team with basic operational tasks during service.
Responsibilities
-Kitchen Cleanliness
-Wash and sanitise all pots, pans, trays, utensils and kitchen equipment throughout service
-Keep the dishwashing area clean, organised and fully operational at all times
-Clean kitchen surfaces, floors, walls and equipment as directed
-Empty and clean bins regularly during and after service
-Degrease and deep clean kitchen equipment on a scheduled basis
Support & Operations
-Assist in receiving, organising and storing deliveries
-Restock kitchen supplies and consumables as needed
-Support chefs with basic prep tasks when required
-Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties
-Report any damaged or faulty equipment to the Head -Chef immediately
Hygiene & Safety
-Follow all HACCP and food safety guidelines at all times
-Ensure correct use and storage of cleaning chemicals
Maintain personal hygiene to the highest standard
-Keep all storage areas clean, dry and properly organised
Requirements
-Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment preferred but not required
-Physically fit — role involves standing for long periods and heavy lifting
-Reliable, hardworking and able to work under pressure
-Able to work early mornings, weekends and public holidays
-Team player with a positive attitude
