JOB DESCRIPTION – PURCHASING OFFICER
Position: Purchasing Officer
Experience: 2–3 Years
Industry: JEWELLERY / Trading
Location: Dubai, UAE
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
1.Manage day-to-day purchasing activities based on company requirements.
2.Obtain and compare quotations, prices, quality, and delivery terms.
3.Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable terms.
4.Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and maintain proper documentation.
5.Coordinate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, payments, and product specifications.
6.Follow up on pending orders and ensure timely delivery.
7.Inspect received items against purchase orders, invoices, and required specifications.
8.Coordinate with the warehouse, accounts, and other departments regarding procurement requirements.
9.Maintain updated records of suppliers, quotations, purchase orders, and invoices.
10.Handle supplier complaints, discrepancies, returns, and replacement of defective items.
11.Ensure all purchases are made according to company policies and approved budgets.
