Job Details

We are looking for an experienced, warm and highly capable Live-Out Governess / Educational Nanny / Governess / Educational Nanny to support a private family in Al Barsha, Dubai.

This is a full-time position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and can combine childcare, education, development and household organisation around the children.

We are looking for someone mature, proactive and dependable who can become a trusted long-term part of the family.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday
11:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Salary
AED 10,000 per month
This is a live-out position.

Main Responsibilities

• Providing attentive and age-appropriate care for the children
• Supporting their educational and personal development
• Planning engaging, educational and creative activities
• Reading, learning through play and helping build good learning habits
• Supporting homework, reading and schoolwork when appropriate
• Helping develop confidence, independence, communication and good manners
• Organising age-appropriate activities, outings and play
• Helping maintain consistent routines around meals, play, learning and bedtime
• Preparing and organising children's belongings for school, nursery, activities and outings
• Keeping children's bedrooms, play areas, toys and belongings organised
• Helping with children's clothing and wardrobes
• Coordinating children's appointments, classes and activities when required
• Communicating with parents regarding the children's routines, development and any concerns
• Supporting school or nursery communication when required
• Accompanying the children to activities or appointments when needed
• Preparing simple meals or snacks for the children when required
• Working alongside other household staff and maintaining clear boundaries between responsibilities.

Education and development are an important part of this position. The successful candidate should be able to create a stimulating and positive environment for the children rather than simply supervising them.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Governess, Educational Nanny, Private Nanny or Early Years Educator
• Strong experience working with young children
• Educated, articulate and confident communicating with both children and adults
• Warm, patient and genuinely caring
• Able to establish appropriate boundaries and routines
• Proactive and able to plan children's days independently
• Highly organised and dependable
• Professional and well presented
• Discreet and respectful of family privacy
• Good spoken and written English
• Strong understanding of child development
• Comfortable working within a private family household
• Excellent references from previous families or employers
• Already living in Dubai or the UAE preferred

The Person We Are Looking For

We are not looking for someone who simply supervises the children. We want someone who is naturally warm, intelligent, engaging and confident with young children, and who understands how to encourage their development while also creating structure, consistency and a positive environment.

The right person should be able to take initiative, understand what the children need and build a strong, trusting relationship with both the children and their parents.

This is intended to be a stable, long-term position with a private family.
