Job Details
We are seeking an accurate and methodical Stock Controller to manage inventory levels, accuracy, and movement across the business. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager or Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be the custodian of stock data — ensuring that what the system says exists actually exists, and that the business never runs short or sits on excess without knowing it.
The core of the role is inventory accuracy. The Stock Controller maintains accurate stock records across all locations, conducts regular cycle counts and full stocktakes, and investigates and resolves discrepancies between system and physical stock. Root causes — miscounts, unrecorded transfers, damaged or expired goods, theft, or system errors — are identified rather than simply adjusted away, and corrective actions are put in place to prevent recurrence. Stock adjustments are made only with proper authorisation and full documentation, since unexplained adjustments are themselves a red flag.
