We are seeking an organised and hands-on Backstore Supervisor to manage the receiving, storage, and stock flow behind the scenes of the store. Reporting to the Store Manager or Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will lead the backstore team, ensure stock moves efficiently from delivery to shelf, and keep the storage areas safe, orderly, and accurately accounted for.

The core of the role is receiving and goods-in control. The Backstore Supervisor oversees the unloading and checking of incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes, verifying quantities, quality, and condition before goods are accepted into the system. Discrepancies, damages, and shortages are documented immediately and reported to purchasing or the supplier for resolution, rather than accepted quietly to keep the process moving. Temperature-sensitive and perishable deliveries are checked and moved into chilled or frozen storage without delay to protect quality and shelf life.
