Job Details
The Storekeeper receives, stores, and issues materials and supplies, keeping accurate stock records and ensuring the store is organised, secure, and well-stocked.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive deliveries; check quantity, quality, and documentation against purchase orders
• Store items in correct locations with proper labelling and stock rotation (FIFO)
• Issue materials against approved requisitions and record all movements
• Maintain accurate stock records in [manual registers / ERP or inventory system]
• Monitor stock levels; raise reorder requests before items run out
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Keep the store clean, organised, and secure; control access to materials
• Report damaged, expired, or slow-moving stock to the supervisor
• Prepare goods for dispatch or internal transfer with correct paperwork
Qualifications
Required
• [High school diploma or equivalent]
• [1–2] years in a storekeeping, warehouse, or inventory role
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills
• Numeracy, attention to detail, and honesty with company property
