Position: Aluminum Extrusion Die Corrector

Location: Damascus, Syria

We are specifically seeking an experienced Aluminum Extrusion Die Corrector who is currently based in Dubai/UAE and is willing to relocate to Damascus, Syria for the position.
*Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled technician or engineer with extensive experience in the correction, maintenance, adjustment, and optimization of aluminum extrusion dies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of extruded aluminum profiles, maintaining compliance with required specifications, minimizing waste, and resolving die-related extrusion problems.
*Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 10 years of practical experience in aluminum extrusion die correction.
Ability to accurately read and analyze engineering drawings and profile cross-section diagrams.
Strong knowledge of aluminum alloy behavior and metal-flow dynamics under pressure and heat in both solid and hollow dies.
Ability to identify and correct causes of warping, dimensional variations, and surface defects.
Ability to make quick and accurate decisions during die trial runs.
Experience handling various die sizes: 6", 7", 8", and 9".
Experience with different cavity configurations: 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 cavities.
Experience working with profiles ranging from 0.7 mm to 5 mm thickness.
Ability to diagnose and correct die-related extrusion issues, including extrusion lines and scoring marks.
Ability to modify existing die designs and assist in the development of new die designs.
Ability to monitor press readiness, including temperature, pressure, pulling force, extrusion speed, and press alignment/centering.
*Education
Relevant technical or vocational qualification in:
Mechanical Engineering
Metalworking
Tool & Die Making
Equivalent extensive practical experience will also be considered.
*Key Responsibilities
Die Inspection
Inspect extrusion dies before and after machining.
Identify defects, wear, and other potential problems.
Die Correction & Adjustment
Precisely adjust and correct die flow paths.
Adjust dimensions and cross-sections to achieve the required aluminum profile specifications.
*Maintenance & Repair
Perform filing, grinding, polishing, and other necessary die correction and maintenance work.
*Performance Improvement
Conduct die trials on the extrusion press.
Monitor initial samples and make the necessary corrections to eliminate warping, dimensional deviations, surface defects, and other extrusion problems.
*Documentation & Records
Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, corrections, and modifications.
Report damaged or defective dies and recommend appropriate corrective action.
*Candidate Requirements
We are particularly interested in candidates who have **hands-on, practical experience correcting aluminum extrusion dies** and can independently diagnose and resolve extrusion problems during production.
