Job Details
The Chocolate Packing Helper supports the packing line by placing, wrapping, boxing, and labelling chocolate products to specification, while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Place chocolates into trays, boxes, and gift packaging neatly and to the correct layout
• Wrap, seal, label, and date-code products according to specification
• Assemble boxes, inserts, and cartons; prepare packaging materials for the line
• Inspect products for defects — broken, misshapen, discoloured, or bloomed items — and remove them
• Check that counts, weights, and packaging match the order specification
• Keep the line stocked with packaging materials and report shortages
• Pack finished cases, label them, and stack on pallets for dispatch
• Clean and sanitise work surfaces, tools, and the work area during and after shifts
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergen-control procedures at all times
• Report equipment faults, quality issues, or contamination risks immediately
Qualifications
Required
• No formal education required; [basic literacy and numeracy]
• Good hand dexterity and steady, consistent working pace
• Attention to detail and willingness to follow strict hygiene rules
• Ability to stand for a full shift and work as part of a team
• Willingness to wear hairnets, gloves, aprons, and other required PPE
