Job Details

We are seeking a competent and safety-conscious Field Operator / Plant Operator to operate, monitor, and routinely inspect process equipment across the plant, wellsite, or pipeline facility so that production runs safely, steadily, and within specification. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, Operations Superintendent, or Control Room Operator, the successful candidate will be the eyes and ears of the control room, working in the field where equipment is actually running and where early signs of trouble first appear.
The core of the role is field operation and equipment monitoring. The Field Operator carries out regular rounds of pumps, compressors, separators, heaters, tanks, valves, and associated systems, recording pressures, temperatures, levels, flows, and equipment condition on log sheets or handheld devices. Readings are compared with normal operating ranges, and deviations, leaks, unusual noise, vibration, or smell are reported to the control room at once rather than noted and left for the next shift. Start-ups, shutdowns, line-ups, and changeovers are carried out strictly according to approved procedures and in coordination with the Control Room Operator.
