Job Details
We are seeking a competent and safety-conscious Utilities Operator to operate and monitor the plant's essential utility systems — boilers, compressors, chillers, and related equipment — that support continuous production. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or Utilities Manager, the successful candidate will keep these critical systems running reliably, since a utility failure can shut down the entire production line, not just one station.
The core of the role is equipment operation and monitoring. The Utilities Operator starts up, monitors, and shuts down boilers, air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, and other utility systems according to standard operating procedures, checking pressures, temperatures, flow rates, and other key parameters throughout the shift. Readings are logged accurately at defined intervals, and any deviation from normal operating range is investigated immediately rather than noted and left for the next shift.
