Job Details
We are seeking an accurate and methodical Goods-In Clerk to manage the receiving process and ensure that every delivery arriving at the warehouse is properly checked, recorded, and released into stock. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful candidate will act as the quality checkpoint at the very start of the stock's journey through the facility.
The core of the role is receiving verification. The Goods-In Clerk checks incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes, verifying quantities, product codes, and condition before accepting goods into the warehouse. Nothing is signed for or accepted without proper verification, regardless of pressure from a waiting driver or a busy receiving bay. Discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goods are documented immediately with photographic evidence where required, and reported to purchasing or the supplier for resolution.
