Job Details
We are seeking an organised and accountable Storekeeper to manage the receiving, storage, and issuance of goods within the store or warehouse. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager or Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be the custodian of stock in their care, ensuring items are properly received, correctly stored, and only released against proper authorisation.
The core of the role is receiving and verification. The Storekeeper receives incoming deliveries, checking quantities, quality, and condition against purchase orders and delivery notes before accepting goods into stock. Discrepancies, damages, or shortages are documented and reported to purchasing immediately, and nothing is accepted into the store without proper verification, regardless of time pressure from the delivery driver or the receiving queue.
