Euro Sun Goods Wholesalers LLC is a Dubai-based importer, exporter, and distributor of premium FMCG products including snacks, confectionery, beverages, and frozen foods. We manage the regional flow of brands, importing into the UAE and exporting across the GCC and wider regional markets.
We are seeking a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to take ownership of our container shipping operations, covering both imports and exports. This role is the operational backbone of our UAE business, managing bookings, documentation, customs coordination, and end-to-end shipment management to ensure goods move accurately, on time, and at the right cost.
The successful candidate will be reliable, process-oriented, and proactive, someone who takes ownership of shipments from booking to delivery, anticipates issues before they escalate, and communicates clearly with internal teams, suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, and customs agents. Accuracy and timeliness are non-negotiable in this role.
Key Responsibilities
● Book and manage ocean freight for both imports into the UAE and exports to regional markets, including specialised cargo such as temperature-controlled shipments.
● Compare and negotiate rates with shipping lines and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective and reliable routings.
● Prepare, review, and manage all shipping and trade documentation required for international shipments and customs clearance.
● Coordinate customs clearance at both origin and destination, working closely with customs brokers and ensuring full compliance with applicable local and international regulations.
● Track shipments end-to-end, providing proactive ETA updates and managing exceptions such as delays, disruptions, and additional charges.
● Build and maintain strong working relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, suppliers, and customers.
● Coordinate with the warehouse on container arrival, unloading schedules, and stock receipt confirmation.
● Validate shipping-related invoices, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure shipping costs stay within budget.
● Maintain accurate, real-time shipment records and provide regular reporting on shipment status, costs, and operational performance.
● Work closely with internal teams (sales, finance, warehouse) to align shipment planning with business needs and customer commitments.
Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field.
● 3-5 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or international logistics, ideally within FMCG, food & beverage, or import/export trading.
● Strong working knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
● Hands-on experience preparing and managing shipping and trade documentation for international shipments.
● Familiarity with UAE customs procedures and food import requirements.
● Experience with temperature-controlled shipping is a strong advantage.
● Fluent written and spoken English, critical for daily communication with international parties.
● Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and shipping or logistics software / ERP systems.
● Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, documentation errors carry real financial consequences.
● Strong organisational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple shipments at different stages simultaneously.
● Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues and resolves them before they escalate.
● Currently based in the UAE.
