Job Details
We are seeking an organised and results-driven Distribution Supervisor to lead the daily movement of goods from the distribution centre to customers, stores, or branches. Reporting to the Distribution Manager or Logistics Manager, the successful candidate will supervise warehouse dispatch teams, loaders, and drivers, and make sure orders leave on time, complete, and in good condition.
The core of the role is outbound planning and shift supervision. The Distribution Supervisor reviews the day’s orders and delivery schedule, confirms that picking, packing, and staging are on track against carrier and route cut-off times, and allocates labour across loading bays and dispatch lanes. Loading sequences are planned so that multi-drop routes are loaded in reverse delivery order, vehicles leave on schedule, and capacity is used efficiently. Bottlenecks and shortfalls are addressed on the spot rather than reported after the trucks have left.
