VACANCY: PURCHASING OFFICER
Urgent Hiring
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably within the food service supplies, FMCG, food industry, or related sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the purchasing process from sourcing and quotation to order placement and delivery.
* Source reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive prices and payment terms.
* Obtain and compare quotations to ensure the best quality and value.
* Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on deliveries.
* Maintain good relationships with suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
* Ensure timely availability of products and materials according to company requirements.
* Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to avoid shortages or overstocking.
* Verify product quality, specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and documentation.
* Coordinate with Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and other departments regarding purchasing requirements.
* Identify alternative suppliers and products when required.
* Ensure all purchases are aligned with company policies and approved budgets.
Requirements
* 3–4 years of relevant purchasing/procurement experience.
* Preferred background in food service supplies, FMCG, food & beverage, food industry, or related sectors.
* Strong supplier sourcing and negotiation skills.
* Good knowledge of purchasing procedures and inventory management.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing/inventory systems.
* Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period is highly preferred.
