Reputed Canadian provider of IT and radio communications solutions hires technical support staff for its Dubai office.
Candidates will the following qualifications will be considered for this position:
.BS or higher in Telecom, Electronics, IT or computers, or 5 years of experience (deducted from the on job experience)
.Minimum 3 years of work experience in Middle East market
.Minimum 2 years of Dubai work experience
.Complete command of English comprehension, speaking and writing
.Full Computer literacy in MS office and outlook is a must
.Working experience in compiling and editing technical documentation, proposals and RFP responses is a plus.

Job description:

The technical support engineer is an operational duties listed but not limited to the items below:

• Continuous attendance to the company support ticketing system and taking care of support calls during the office hours.
• Designing wireless links and networks using wireless link planner tool and by use of Pathloss software.
• Keeping up to date information about the network designing tools and network monitoring and management software related to the implementation of products.
• Perform pilot testing of new products and software upgrades for wireless devices the company carries.
• Providing test reports and proposal for customer's based on the field test and proposed design for their network requirements.
• help customer to understand the capabilities and strength of the device the company carries.
• Attending trainings for new products and product updates in training session held local or abroad.
• Providing pre-sales technical support to sales staff and their customers including tender compliance sheets and technical proposals.
• Providing technical briefings in both online and physical sessions to the clients.
• Regularly attending installation missions with channel partners in order to keep a high level of hands on and on-site experience with the company products and solutions.
• Attending in the process of development and optimizing the technical documents.
• Attending in the process of recognizing typical support inquiries and developing knowledge-base documents to address the inquiries.
• Communication with higher level support engineers and follow up with them to get answers on escalated support calls.
• Taking care of all maintenance tasks related to the local computer network installed in the office.
