An exciting position has arisen for an Night Manager to manage the Front Office at The Al Qasr Hotel in the Madinat Jumeirah Resort. The main role will be to represent the management during the night and to supervise the operation in all areas of the hotel however focusing on Front Office areas ensuring everything runs smoothly and maximum guest satisfaction is achieved.

Your main duties will include:

Being fully aware of emergency procedure (i.e. in case of fire) defined in the Emergency Evacuation Operations Plan and be able to handle such situations.

Liaising closely with the Night Auditor regarding balancing the day's revenues and the close-day procedure.Checking the Rate Discrepancy Report ensuring that all rate codes, discounts, market segments, source and channel codes as well as packages are correctly entered in Opera.

Handling visitors during the night shift in a professional and effective manner in liaison with security.

Ensuring that all required back-up reports are printed before Opera goes down for close day.

Recording any major incidents and important information in the Duty Manager's logbook.

Ensuring that the CID report is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Checking all updated registration cards ensuring that the information is complete, all necessary documents attached and sufficient payment guarantee has been taken.

Ensuring that all Traces of the day have been resolved and file a copy of the report.

Ensuring that all Guest Services Executives report to duty on time and are well groomed.

Ensuring that the privacy and the security of all guests are maintained and that no information is disclosed to anybody.

Ensuring that the I.D's are taken for all visitors and that the rate supplement is charged.

Handling booking out guests in case of an overbooking situation
Assisting Guest Services with meeting and escorting VIP guests on arrival.
Ensuring that the Resort's credit policy is being followed at all times and that the Credit Check Report is carried out.
Signing Rebates and Paid-Outs for the Cashiers ensuring that sufficient justification and back-up has been provided Perform any related duties and special projects as requested by the Rooms Division Manager.
Being able to carry out appraisals and Bi-Yearly Feedback Sessions as allocated by the Director of Rooms.

Qualifications :

In order to be considered for this role, you will have minimum of two years experience as Night Manager of Rooms in a 5* hotel of more than 200 rooms.

You will have working knowledge in Microsoft Office Application and Opera. You must be self disciplined, organized and have meticulous grooming standards as well as flexible with your working schedule and are able to resolve guest complaint.

You must be a strong communicator, but understand diplomacy. A proven track record in training and developing staff and managing a multi-cultural workforce is essential. Additional Arabic language is a must.
