Job Summary:
A Steel Welder is responsible for joining and repairing steel components using welding techniques according to drawings and specifications. The role involves working on structural steel such as beams, columns, plates, and frames.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding on structural steel using Arc (SMAW), MIG, or TIG processes
Read and follow welding symbols and fabrication drawings
Weld steel structures such as beams, columns, frames, and supports
Inspect weld quality and ensure strength and accuracy
Grind, clean, and prepare joints before and after welding
Repair damaged or defective welds
Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
Requirements:
Proven experience in steel welding
Knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards
Ability to read basic technical drawings
Good physical condition and stamina
Preferred:
Welding certification
Experience in structural steel fabrication projects
2. Steel Fabricator – Job Description
Job Title: Steel Fabricator
Department: Steel Workshop / Fabrication
Reports To: Foreman / Supervisor
Job Summary:
A Steel Fabricator is responsible for measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and fitting steel parts according to engineering drawings before welding or final installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret structural steel drawings and measurements
Measure, mark, cut, and shape steel materials (plates, beams, pipes, channels)
Assemble steel components before welding
Use tools such as grinders, cutting machines, drills, and gas cutters
Check alignment, dimensions, and fit-up accuracy
Prepare steel parts for welding and installation
Maintain tools and ensure workshop cleanliness
Follow safety procedures
Requirements:
Experience in steel fabrication work
Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools
Knowledge of steel materials and fabrication tools
Physically fit for heavy work
Preferred:
Experience in structural steel or construction projects
Basic welding knowledge
3. Steel Helper – Job Description

Job Summary:
A Steel Helper assists welders and fabricators in handling steel materials, preparing workpieces, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cutting, grinding, and preparing steel materials
Load, unload, and move steel sections and plates
Clean steel surfaces before and after fabrication work
Hold and support materials during welding and fitting
Operate basic tools under supervision
Remove sharp edges, slag, and waste materials
Maintain cleanliness of workshop and work area
Follow all safety instructions and wear PPE
Requirements:
Physically strong and able to handle heavy materials
Willing to learn steel fabrication work
Basic understanding of workshop safety
Good teamwork and discipline
Preferred:
Previous experience in steel workshop or construction
