Job Details
Key Responsibilities:-
- Carry out installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of LV/MV switchgear systems.
- Perform testing of ACB, VCB, MCCB, and MCB and identify electrical faults.
- Work with MCC (Motor Control Center), PCC, and distribution boards.
- Read and interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), control schematics, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, terminal schedules, and cable schedules.
- Execute relay logic wiring and control circuit wiring (24V DC, 110V DC, 230V AC).
- Conduct continuity tests, insulation resistance (IR) tests using Megger, contact resistance tests (CRM), and functional checks.
- Assist in primary and secondary injection testing and verify interlocking schemes.
- Support energization procedures and pre-commissioning activities.
- Check PLC input/output signals and assist with basic automation troubleshooting.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning and inspection documentation.
Required Technical Skills:-
Switchgear Knowledge:-
- LV/MV switchgear operation and commissioning
- ACB, VCB, MCCB, and MCB testing
- MCC, PCC, and distribution board systems
- Electrical and mechanical interlocking schemes
Protection & Automation:-
- Protection relay fundamentals and testing
- Overcurrent (50/51) and Earth Fault (50N/51N) protection
- Differential protection basics
- Under/Over voltage protection
- Secondary injection testing
Documentation Skills:-
- Commissioning reports
- Test sheets
- Method statements
- Inspection Test Plans (ITP)
- Punch lists
- Redline / As-built drawings
- FAT / SAT documentation
Software Skills:-
-AutoCAD – drawing review and basic editing
-Microsoft Excel – reports, test records, and documentation
-Relay configuration tools (equipment dependent)
