Job Details

We are looking for an ELV Systems Presales Engineer with a strong technical background to support our sales team in preparing winning technical proposals for ELV projects. The ideal candidate will ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and compliant with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents to understand client and project requirements, identifying scope, specifications, and compliance criteria for ELV systems including CCTV, Access Control, Audiovisual, and IT Systems.

Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure, understand site conditions, and gather information needed for accurate solution design and BOQ preparation.

Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, schematics, and architectural layouts to develop appropriate ELV system designs.

Prepare technical proposals, equipment layouts, schematic diagrams, concept drawings, and BOQs using AutoCAD in response to client and consultant requirements.

Develop as-built drawings and documentation upon project completion or as required during the presales and handover process.

Select appropriate equipment and technologies based on project requirements, budget constraints, and industry best practices.

Coordinate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.

Prepare technical compliance sheets, method statements, and clarifications in response to tender queries.

Stay updated on the latest ELV technologies, products, and industry standards (NFPA, TIA, BICSI, local authority regulations, etc.).

Support the sales team during client meetings and presentations by providing technical input and addressing technical queries.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in ELV systems presales, design, or engineering roles.

Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Audiovisual Systems, and IT/Networking Systems.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, with demonstrated ability to prepare layouts, schematics, concept drawings, and as-built documentation.

Ability to read, interpret, and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and technical specifications.

Experience conducting site surveys and translating findings into technical solutions.

Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification is preferred.

Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards is an advantage.
