Job Details

We are a Real Estate Development Company based in Dubai, UAE, looking for an experienced and proactive Civil Engineer to oversee and coordinate construction activities across our development projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee day-to-day site construction activities and ensure works are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
2. Monitor and supervise the work of the Main Contractor, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, progress, and compliance with approved standards.
3. Review and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings and identify any discrepancies or site-related issues.
4. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
5. Follow up on authority approvals, inspections, permits, and other statutory requirements applicable to construction projects in Dubai.
6. Monitor project progress and provide regular work status updates to management.
7. Identify delays, technical issues, and site constraints and coordinate with the relevant parties for timely resolution.
8. Ensure construction works comply with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and applicable Dubai/UAE regulations.
9. Conduct regular site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and construction quality.
10. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors regarding material deliveries, site requirements, and work schedules.
11. Assist in reviewing contractor quotations, variations, material submissions, and technical documentation.
12. Maintain proper records of site activities, progress, approvals, inspections, and project correspondence.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction, real estate development, or project/site supervision in the UAE.
3. Strong knowledge of Dubai construction practices and authority approval procedures.
4. Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, site execution, and quality control.
5. Experience in coordinating and supervising Main Contractors and subcontractors.
6. Strong communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple site activities and follow up effectively with contractors and suppliers.
8. Good reporting and documentation skills.
9. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of relevant project management/construction software will be an advantage.
