We are Hiring Procurement Engineer (Civil and Fit-Out),location is in Dubai,UAE.
A Procurement Engineer (Civil and Fit-Out) manages the end-to-end purchasing process for construction and interior projects, sourcing materials and subcontractors while ensuring quality, budget compliance, and timely delivery. Key duties include reviewing BOQs/drawings, negotiating with suppliers, issuing LPOs, and collaborating with site teams to align deliveries with project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning: Review technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) to determine material requirements.
Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify, prequalify, and maintain a database of reliable suppliers and subcontractors for civil (steel, cement) and fit-out (joinery, flooring, glazing) items.
Tendering & Negotiation: Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs), analyze proposals, and lead negotiations to secure optimal pricing and payment terms.
Contract Management: Prepare comparative statements, issue Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), and manage subcontractor agreements.
Logistics & Coordination: Collaborate with site teams to schedule deliveries, ensuring materials arrive on time to prevent project delays.
Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in procurement, specifically with construction/fit-out contractors in the UAE, with a solid understanding of local vendors and material specifications.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs. Proficiency in MS Excel and construction software.
Negotiation: Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
