Job Description

GeeM is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Maintenance & Fit-Out division in Dubai. The role involves managing and coordinating maintenance, renovation, and fit-out projects from site assessment through execution, handover, and closeout.

The Project Engineer will work closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and the office team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits, inspections, measurements, and technical assessments.
• Prepare project scopes of work, material requirements, and quantity take-offs.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance, renovation, and fit-out activities.
• Supervise technicians, skilled workers, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.
• Coordinate civil, MEP, joinery, painting, waterproofing, tiling, ceiling, and other fit-out activities.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and daily/weekly work programs.
• Ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor manpower, materials, productivity, and project progress.
• Coordinate material procurement and ensure materials are available according to the work program.
• Attend client meetings and provide professional site and progress updates.
• Identify site issues and propose practical technical solutions.
• Coordinate variations and additional works with the office/project management team.
• Conduct quality inspections and manage snagging and rectification works.
• Maintain proper site documentation, including progress reports, photographs, inspections, and handover records.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and site safety requirements.
• Support project handover and closeout.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant UAE experience in maintenance, renovation, fit-out, or construction.
• Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
• Good understanding of civil, architectural, and basic MEP works.
• Ability to read drawings and understand specifications and BOQs.
• Strong site coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and client-handling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong sense of responsibility, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who is comfortable being on site, dealing directly with clients and technicians, solving practical problems, and taking ownership of projects from commencement through successful handover.
