We are seeking a dedicated and creative Primary Teacher to deliver engaging, well-planned lessons and to nurture the academic, social, and personal development of children in the primary years. Reporting to the Head of Section or Principal, the successful candidate will take responsibility for a class, creating a safe, stimulating environment where every child is known, challenged, and supported to make progress.
The core of the role is planning and delivering teaching. The Primary Teacher plans lessons and units of work in line with the school’s curriculum framework, whether British, American, IB, or national, and teaches the core subjects of literacy, numeracy, and science alongside humanities, arts, physical education, and languages as the timetable requires. Lessons are structured with clear objectives, differentiated so that stronger learners are stretched and those who struggle are supported, and delivered through a mix of whole-class teaching, group work, practical activity, and play-based learning suited to the age group.
