Job Details

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and attentive School Bus Attendant to ensure the safety and well-being of students during transportation to and from school.

The ideal candidate will assist students while boarding, traveling, and exiting the bus while maintaining discipline, safety, and a comfortable environment throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the school bus.
• Ensure students are seated properly and wearing seat belts where available.
• Maintain discipline and order inside the bus during transportation.
• Monitor student behavior and report any concerns or incidents to the school management.
• Provide additional assistance to younger children and students who require special support.
• Check the bus after every trip to ensure that no student is left behind.
• Support the bus driver in maintaining a safe transportation environment.
• Handle emergency situations calmly and follow established safety procedures.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization inside the bus.
• Ensure students are safely handed over to parents, guardians, or authorized school staff when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Bus Attendant, School Assistant, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, responsible, and friendly personality.
• Ability to work effectively with children.
• Basic understanding of safety and emergency procedures.
• Physically fit, alert, and attentive.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience working with children or in a school environment.
• Basic first aid knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to manage and supervise groups of students effectively.
• Strong sense of responsibility and safety awareness.

Working Conditions

• Split shifts based on morning and afternoon school timings.
• Work primarily on school buses during student transportation hours.
• May require standing for extended periods.
