Senior Florist / Floral Designer

Lysé Flowers is looking for an experienced hands-on Florist / Floral Designer with professional fresh-flower experience in the UAE.

Important: This position requires professional, hands-on floral design experience. Candidates without previous florist/floral design experience will not be considered.

We are looking for someone beyond traditional bouquet making — a creative professional who can understand a space, develop a floral concept, select the appropriate flowers and materials, prepare purchasing requirements, and execute the design from preparation through final installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements for cafés, restaurants, beauty salons, clinics, offices, private residences, and private events.
• Develop floral concepts according to each client’s space, brand identity, occasion, and budget.
• Create table arrangements, reception and counter displays, statement arrangements, entrance pieces, and event floral installations.
• Select suitable fresh flowers, foliage, vases, containers, mechanics, and decorative materials.
• Prepare accurate flower and material purchasing lists based on approved designs and quantities.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of flower varieties, seasonality, conditioning, longevity, quality, and suitable substitutions.
• Coordinate preparation, production, delivery, installation, replacements, and ongoing floral requirements.
• Manage recurring floral arrangements for commercial clients while maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
• Control flower wastage and material costs.
• Take ownership of assigned floral projects from concept through final execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional hands-on experience as a Florist / Floral Designer.
• Previous professional floral experience in the UAE is strongly preferred.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating actual floral work personally created or executed by the candidate.
• Experience with fresh flowers, foliage, floral mechanics, vases, containers, and installation techniques.
• Experience designing for different spaces — not only bouquets and flower boxes.
• Ability to estimate flower quantities and prepare purchasing/material lists independently.
• Strong sense of composition, proportion, color, and contemporary floral design.
• Ability to work independently and handle on-site installation and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of Dubai flower suppliers and the UAE floral market is a strong advantage.
• Previous experience with hotels, restaurants, cafés, luxury venues, event companies, or established floral companies is highly desirable.
