We are seeking a patient and solution-focused Customer Service Desk Officer to handle customer enquiries, complaints, and transactions at the service desk. Reporting to the Front End Supervisor or Customer Service Manager, the successful candidate will act as the point of resolution for anything that couldn't be settled at the checkout, and as a source of accurate information for anyone who needs it.
The core of the role is handling returns and exchanges. The Customer Service Desk Officer processes product returns, refunds, and exchanges in line with company policy, verifying receipts, condition of goods, and time limits before approving. Where a request falls outside standard policy, the officer uses judgement within their authority or refers it to the Duty Manager with a clear recommendation, rather than either refusing rigidly or approving without justification. Every transaction is recorded accurately in the system so that stock, refunds, and financial reporting stay correct.
