- Los Turcos is a modern Turkish street food restaurant inspired by the vibrant street culture of 1980s Türkiye. We focus on authentic flavors with a fresh, modern approach and are currently building our opening team for our restaurant opening this September in Dubai.
Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced Baker specializing in Turkish flatbread and dough preparation to join our opening team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking our signature flatbreads while supporting the kitchen team during non-production hours with food preparation and grill operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce fresh Turkish flatbread dough daily
- Mix, knead, ferment, divide and shape dough according to company recipes
- Bake flatbreads to ensure consistent quality, texture and appearance
- Monitor dough fermentation and proofing processes
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and cleanliness
- Manage daily bread production according to operational needs
- Monitor ingredient quality and stock levels
- Support the kitchen team with food preparation, grill operations, and other kitchen duties during non-baking hours
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a baker, preferably in Turkish, Middle Eastern or Mediterranean cuisine
- Experience with flatbread, pita, lavash or similar bread production is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of dough preparation, fermentation and baking techniques
- Experience with grill cooking or food preparation is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Responsible, disciplined and committed to quality
- Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred
