Job Details

The candidate should have practical experience preparing Asian wok dishes. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in Asian wok cuisine, including noodles, fried rice, chicken, beef, shrimp, calamari, tofu, and various Asian sauces such as Teriyaki, Korean Spicy, Hong Kong, Kraprow and Thai curry

Experience in preparing Asian starters, soups, gyoza, siu mai, spring rolls, Tom Yum, ramen, and Asian salads is also required.

Requirements

Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Wok Chef.
Strong practical knowledge of Asian and Asian street food cuisine.
Must be experienced in high-heat wok cooking.
Good knowledge of different Asian sauces and seasoning combinations.
Able to cook noodles, rice and different proteins according to recipe standards.
Good knife skills and mise en place knowledge.
Able to maintain consistent taste, portion, presentation and cooking time.
Must be able to follow standardized recipes and accurately reproduce menu items.
Experience with shrimp, chicken, beef, calamari and tofu preparation.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
Able to work efficiently during busy service periods.
Sushi preparation experience is an advantage, but strong wok/Asian cuisine experience is essential.
