Job Details
We're looking for an experienced chef/cook skilled in authentic Indian and Indo-Chinese cooking to join our kitchen. You'll be responsible for preparing a consistent, high-quality menu spanning curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and the bold wok-fired flavours of Indo-Chinese dishes like Manchurian, chilli chicken, and Hakka noodles. Speed, consistency, hygiene, and a genuine feel for spice balance matter most.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Indian dishes (curries, dals, gravies, tandoori and grilled items, biryanis, breads) to consistent quality and taste.
Cook Indo-Chinese dishes using high-heat wok techniques (fried rice, noodles, Manchurian, chilli/garlic preparations, schezwan items).
Prepare gravies, marinades, sauces, and base masalas in advance (mise en place) and maintain stock levels.
Maintain consistency in portion size, presentation, and flavour across every order.
Manage the tandoor and wok stations efficiently during service rushes.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards (HACCP / local municipality norms).
Keep the kitchen, equipment, and stations clean and organised.
Coordinate with kitchen helpers and front-of-house for smooth service.
Help with menu input, specials, and controlling food cost/wastage.
