Key Responsibilities
Carry out daily site safety inspections.
Identify hazards and take immediate action to reduce risks.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
Monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Stop unsafe work when there is an immediate danger.
Conduct safety inductions for new workers and visitors.
Deliver toolbox talks and regular safety briefings.
Report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist with investigations.
Prepare and maintain safety records, inspection reports, and incident reports.
Issue and monitor safety observations, warnings, and corrective actions.
Follow up on NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) until they are fully closed.
Ensure fire extinguishers, first aid kits, emergency equipment, and safety signs are available and maintained.
Monitor subcontractors to ensure they comply with all safety requirements.
Work closely with supervisors and management to improve site safety.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the workplace.
Assist during internal and external safety audits.
Stay up to date with UAE health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Certified Safety Officer qualification recognized in the UAE.
Good knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations.
Experience working on construction or industrial projects is preferred.
Ability to identify hazards and assess risks.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and email).
Able to work independently and make sound safety decisions.
