HSE Manager – Construction Projects (Abu Dhabi)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role Overview
AmerAir International is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) activities across ongoing construction and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, client standards, and international best practices, while driving a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the implementation and enforcement of project-specific HSE plans and procedures
Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi HSE regulations, client requirements (e.g., TAQA/ADNOC standards), and international standards
Manage site HSE teams, subcontractors, and coordination with consultants
Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action plans
Oversee PTW systems, site mobilization safety requirements, and audits
Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
Liaise with client, consultant, and authorities on all HSE matters
Drive continuous improvement and reporting of HSE KPIs
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent
OR
Diploma in Engineering / Environmental Science (with higher experience requirement)
Technical Requirements
NEBOSH IGC Level 3 – Mandatory
NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) – Strong advantage / mandatory for diploma holders
Certified/Internal Auditor for ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 – Required
Experience
Minimum 12 years in HSE field (for degree holders)
Minimum 15 years in HSE field (for diploma holders)
At least 8 years of relevant experience in construction/utilities projects
Proven experience working in Abu Dhabi projects is essential
Additional Requirements
Abu Dhabi Public Health Center (ADPHC) Practitioner Certification (preferred)
Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi HSE legislation, codes, and compliance frameworks
UAE Driving License (mandatory)
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
