A reputable organization is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of procurement procedures, and the ability to maintain cost-effective purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement activities for construction materials, tools, equipment, and services.

Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.

Request and compare quotations to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.

Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contract conditions.

Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely availability of materials.

Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, warehouse teams, and accounts departments.

Monitor inventory requirements and prevent material shortages or unnecessary overstocking.

Verify supplier invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders, and related documentation.

Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing reports.

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, budgets, and project specifications.

Resolve supplier issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery delays.

Requirements

1-3 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the UAE construction industry.

Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and local market pricing.

Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; ERP or procurement software experience is an advantage.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
