Clean and service guest rooms and public areas to the hotel's brand standards, ensuring every guest walk into a spotless, well-presented room and receives discreet, courteous service throughout their stay.
Key Responsibilities
• Clean and service an assigned number of rooms per shift (typically 12–16 departures/stayovers) to standard
• Make beds, change linen and towels, and replenish amenities, minibar, and stationery
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise bathrooms, fixtures, and high-touch surfaces
• Restock and organise the housekeeping trolley at the start and end of each shift
• Report maintenance faults, damage, or safety hazards to the supervisor or engineering
• Handle lost-and-found items per hotel policy — log and hand over immediately
• Respond promptly to guest requests for extra items or additional servicing
• Follow correct chemical handling, colour-coded cloth, and infection-control procedures
• Maintain pantries, corridors, and back-of-house areas in clean, orderly condition
• Support deep-cleaning schedules, turndown service, and public area cleaning as assigned
Requirements
• High school education; hospitality certification an advantage
• 1–2 years' housekeeping experience in a hotel or serviced apartment (entry level considered with training)
• Physically fit — able to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 15 kg
• Basic conversational English; additional languages an asset
• Available for rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays
