The Workshop Operations Manager is a leadership role focused on the strategic oversight and high-level efficiency of the entire facility, moving beyond individual sales to manage the department’s full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility. While they still ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction, their primary duties involve workforce management—including hiring, training, and performance reviews—as well as implementing rigorous safety standards and optimizing long-term operational costs. Unlike an executive who focuses on the daily transaction, the Manager analyzes shop-wide data to improve overall capacity, manages large-scale vendor contracts, and reports directly to senior leadership on the workshop’s total commercial performance.
