Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled full-time Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, payments and inventory of a very small storage of bed linen/laundry. Ultimately, the Bookkeeper’s responsibilities are to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of our company. This position also requires a detail oriented, well organized, an accurate individual who possesses a strong work ethic. This individual should also be able to work independently, meet deadlines, work flexible hours and provide assistance with other projects.


• Collect and sort all of the source documents for each financial transaction
• Be able to work (or learn how to work) with Quickbooks Online software.
• Record day to day financial transactions in the general journal and completing the posting process
• Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
• Enter data, maintain records and launch reports and financial statements
• Maintain and reconcile Operating Petty Cash
• Record and reconcile various intercompany transactions and transfers
• Maintain filing system, file setups and end of year storage of all operating accounts and financial records
• Bringing the books to the trial balance stage at the end of each accounting cycle
• Issue invoices to customers
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
• Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
• Process payroll in a timely manner
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• At least two years of bookkeeping and/or accounting experience
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
• Advanced Excel or reporting skills preferred, basic Excel experience required
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in English and in MS Office
• Ability to keep client matters strictly confidential.
