About the Role
A leading luxury restaurant in Dubai is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions within a high-end hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Record daily sales, purchases, and expenses accurately in the accounting system.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis.
Review POS & card reconciliation done by the Income Auditor.
Review open checks/city ledger summaries, and casual staff attendance sheets.
Manage supplier SOA reconciliations and T.T. payment summaries.
Process supplier invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring proper approval and coding.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including P&L and balance sheet support schedules.
Maintain the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
Track accounts payable and accounts receivable, following up on outstanding balances.
Support VAT filing and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
Assist with payroll processing and related accounting entries.
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation for audits.
Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
4 years of accounting experience, F&B experience mandatory (2–3 years minimum).
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and basic tax compliance.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Fluent in English; Arabic or French is an advantage.
