Job Title: Real Estate Accountant

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities and financial records for our real estate business. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of property accounting, receivables, payables, rental transactions, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and maintain tenant/customer accounts and payment records.
Record rental income, security deposits, commissions, and other property-related transactions.
Follow up on outstanding rental payments and receivables.
Prepare and monitor rent schedules and payment schedules.
Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
Maintain accurate records of property-related expenses and maintenance costs.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
Prepare financial reports and management reports as required.
Monitor cash flow and outstanding balances.
Coordinate with property management, sales, leasing, and administration teams regarding financial matters.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
Assist with VAT calculations, VAT returns, and compliance in accordance with UAE regulations.
Support external auditors during audits and provide required documents.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE real estate sector.
Strong knowledge of UAE accounting and VAT requirements.
Experience with accounting software/ERP systems.
Good knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
Strong understanding of reconciliations, receivables, payables, and financial reporting.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Real estate/property accounting experience is highly preferred.
