**Job Title: Assistant Accountant**

**Location:** Ras Al Khor, Dubai, UAE

### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Assistant Accountant** to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong accounting knowledge, experience in tax compliance and tax analysis, and the ability to handle a wide range of accounting and administrative tasks. A **CPA certification** is required, and experience with **SOHO accounting systems/software** is essential.

### Key Responsibilities

* Assist in managing daily accounting operations and financial records.
* Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
* Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
* Prepare and analyze tax filings, VAT returns, and tax-related reports.
* Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and accounting standards.
* Conduct tax analysis and provide recommendations to improve tax efficiency and compliance.
* Maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
* Support audits and coordinate with external auditors when required.
* Monitor and manage expenses, invoices, and payments.
* Perform administrative and other accounting-related duties as assigned.

### Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* **CPA Certification (Mandatory).**
* Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
* Strong knowledge of **tax regulations, tax analysis, and VAT compliance**.
* Experience working with **SOHO accounting software/systems**.
* Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English. Additional languages are an advantage.

### Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in the UAE.
* Knowledge of payroll processing and financial auditing.
* Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
